Welcome to the Smyrna Education Foundation!
Together, we’re empowering Smyrna’s public schools and inspiring a brighter future for our students.
Together, we’re empowering Smyrna’s public schools and inspiring a brighter future for our students.
Each year, SEF brings together our Smyrna Principals to celebrate their achievements and reflect on the school year's successes. This year, Principals highlighted how SEF grants have benefited their schools, as well as how we could expand our impact in the future. We were honored to welcome Becky Saylor, Cobb County School Board Post 2, and Tim Gould, Smyrna City Council Ward 6, whose comments reinforced our shared commitment to education. Through collaboration, we continue working toward a brighter future for Smyrna’s students and educators.

Elaine Cook, SEF Treasurer, is an Atlanta native and Auburn graduate who has lived in Smyrna since 2006. She works at SouthState Bank and enjoys running, pickleball, and weekends at Smyrna Market Village. Elaine and her husband Adam have two children who attended Smyrna schools.
We are excited to announce that all Smyrna schools applied for and received the annual Core Education Grant. Each school was awarded $1,000 to help fund projects such as STEAM days at Nickajack Elementary and the Finish Strong Program at Campbell High School.
The Smyrna Education Foundation is thrilled to celebrate our superstar educators as part of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce’s Teacher of the Year Blitz! This year, we’re delivering joy straight to their classrooms by fulfilling some of their wish list items. It’s our way of saying “thank you” to these incredible teachers for inspiring young minds every day. Let’s make this celebration unforgettable—because great teachers deserve great surprises!

During the January 21st Smyrna City Council meeting, JRM Management Services and Atkins Park Restaurant and Bar presented Smyrna Education Foundation with a check for $20,000. These proceeds were generated from the 2024 Smyrna Spring Jonquil Festival, Taste of Smyrna, and Smyrna Crafts and Drafts Festival. These funds will help SEF continue to support Smyrna schools with grants, supplies, and other resources throughout the school year.
As part of the SEF mission to promote public education in Smyrna, SEF partners with the Campbell High School (foundation?) to produce a two page spread in the local Brightside Newspaper. The article, printed annually in October, highlights student achievements for the previous school year. #SpartanProud
